Holiday Planning

Navigating through unexpected twists during a holiday? We feel you! Ben and I are on a family getaway with our three kids, and let's just say it hasn't unfolded as smoothly as we envisioned. From a pre-holiday broken arm to unpredictable weather, our adventure is turning into an Instagram series of relatable moments that might resonate with you.

Booking a holiday often involves building expectations, but life has its own plans, right? With my broken arm, we entered the holiday slightly outnumbered. Then, the weather threw us a curveball – a situation not unfamiliar to those who've experienced Abersoch's diverse climate. Sunny days feel like a dream, but when the weather takes a turn, entertaining kids can become a puzzle.

So, what do you do when your holiday script takes an unexpected turn? Here are some tips:

1. **Explore Alternatives:**

Before arriving, scope out the area's activities adaptable to various weather conditions. Think sunny weather: book a SUP lesson. If it gets windy, consider switching to a surf lesson. Flexibility is key!

2. **Embrace Adaptability:**

Some things are beyond our control, and that's okay. Adaptability is the name of the game. It's crucial to adjust plans and find the silver lining to prevent a negative impact on your holiday spirit.

3. **Choose Multi-functional Properties:**

Seek holiday homes that offer versatility. Consider properties like Avondale, equipped with a cinema room for rainy days and an outdoor kitchen for sunny ones. There’s even a yoga room for when you need some ‘zen’ after a day with the kids!! Properties like Tacoma have outdoor ping pong tables for sunny days and an inside football table for rainy days.

4. **Facilities for All Weather:**

Places like The Warren are gems for families. Regardless of weather conditions, there's always something for everyone. Whether it's a trip to the gaming room with teenagers or keeping the little ones entertained at the on-site pool, dividing and conquering becomes a practical approach.

Remember, the essence of a great holiday often lies in the ability to adapt and make the best out of unexpected situations. Here's to turning the unplanned into unforgettable moments! ????
